Tamil Nadu BJP leader takes harasser to police, alleges poor response from cops

Alisha Abdullah, BJP Tamil Nadu Secretary of Sports and Skill Development Cell, in a post on social media, claimed she was harassed by a man who had been repeatedly calling her and demanding sexual favours.
The sports personality, who’s the country’s first female national racing champion, posted videos on X, detailing her ordeal and criticising the police for their slow response.
According to her, the harassment began when the man acquired her phone number and made inappropriate calls. “At first, I tried to ignore it, but this morning, he started calling constantly. When one of my office staff answered, he requested a massage from me,” Abdullah said.
Outraged by the man’s actions, Alisha tracked him down to a hotel in the city. Initially, she went to the Ginger Hotel branch in Vadapalani, only to find out that the man was staying at the OMR branch.
When Alisha approached the police to file a complaint, she alleged that the officers failed to take immediate action. “I was told to go to another police station, even though my father and others had already caught the accused. We approached police who we believed were from the Kelambakkam Police Station, but there was no cooperation. They directed us to Neelankarai Police Station, and we had to wait for several hours,” she explained.
Alisha identified the alleged harasser as Feroz, who appeared to be under the influence of drugs. In her videos, she showed the man being apprehended and taken to the police station in her car. “This is a very sad situation. Imagine how many women face this every day with no protection. Tamil Nadu has gone from bad to worse with drugs!” Alisha added, expressing her frustration over the incident.
